Come On Then puts a dry local voice on London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, a place known for the Ford Dagenham car plant and Barking's riverside. Barking Abbey was founded around 666 by the Bishop of London, an old local fact stated plainly. The Dagenham Girl Pipers formed in October 1930 from a Sunday School group and went on to tour widely.
