A gift for their first Christmas as grandparents
New grandparents tend to get a bauble with the year on it. What many of them would rather have is something about the baby on their own wall, and something about their new title. Usually the gift comes from the new parents, who have the details to hand and not much time, so everything here can be made on a phone in one sitting, and you see the finished print before you order.
Their own copy of the birth details
If the parents already have a birth details print for the nursery, a second copy for the grandparents takes a minute: open the saved design from its link, change the colours or the line at the foot if you like ("Our first grandchild"), and order it. The name, date, time, weight and place stay exactly as they were. The print works out the day of the week, the star sign, the birthstone, the birth flower and the phase of the Moon from the date. For a grandparent who reads their horoscope, the birth chart print casts the baby's full chart from the same birth time and place.
Their new name, defined
The Definition style of the family words print sets one word as a dictionary entry with up to three meanings you write. "Grandad, defined" is one of the starting examples, and the word can be whatever they will actually be called: Nana, Granny, Grandpa, Pops. It is worth waiting until the family has settled on the name before ordering. The meanings work best when each is true of them, so not "the best grandad in the world" but what he already does: fixes things nobody asked him to fix, keeps the good biscuits on a high shelf.
Pronunciations print as typed, so plain letters such as /nan-ah/ are safer than phonetic symbols.
Three generations by year
The family birth years print sets two to eight years large with a name under each, so grandparents, parents and the new baby fit on one sheet. Each year can carry a panel from that year's news, music and prices, but only for years the archive has finished, which currently runs to 2025. A baby born in 2026 still gets their year and name; it just prints without the panel.
