Made properly

Set by a typesetter that measures every line — the name sized to fit, the deed wrapped and set in the accent, the sentence typeset properly — with a seal drawn for the occasion, real signature lines, an inked stamp, and the range's lettering, papers and backgrounds. When the words run long, the sheet tightens rather than cuts.

  • The small victory, made official. This is to certify that Olivia Thompson, on 14 May 2026, in the presence of witnesses, parallel parked outside the house, first time, no shouting — and is hereby recognised, for the record and for all time, as having done the thing. The deed set large in the accent, a citation in italics, the seal with a star at its heart, signed and witnessed, an inked Achieved stamp at the foot.
  • The retirement, with thanks. After 38 years as Head of Geography at Varndean School, hereby released from all alarms, meetings and Monday mornings — or from whatever you write in their place — with the thanks of everyone who will miss them. The years set large, the laurel seal, the staff room's signature.
  • Their face, engraved. Free. Add a photo and we engrave their portrait in an oval on the retirement certificate, in about 20 seconds. We never keep your photo.
  • Your frame, colours, paper and background. Four frames — none, a hairline, a certificate's double rule, bracketed corners — six colourways from ivory to midnight, five kinds of lettering, five papers and the range's painted backgrounds. A long deed or a full retirement steps the sheet tighter rather than cutting a word.

Questions

Is it meant to be funny?
It is meant to be true. The sheet takes what you write with complete seriousness — a first swim at forty-three, a wardrobe with no leftover screws, forty-one years of wet Wednesdays — and sets it the way a real certificate is set. That is where the joke lives, if there is one.
Who signs it?
Anyone you like: Mum, the staff room, Coach Dan, next door's cat. Leave a signature blank and the seal stands alone.
Can I change it later?
Yes. Keep the link to your design and open it again — a new victory, another year — and order another. Nothing is drawn by hand. The share link carries the whole design, so it keeps working; an unfinished design saved at the basket is kept for 90 days, and a bought print's approved artwork is kept for reorders.
