  • The family, as an optician would set them. Your names become an eye-test letter ladder: one large letter at the top, then progressively smaller rows. Read left to right to find your people. A decorative print, not a calibrated sight test.
  • Names, or anything else. Family names, the grandchildren, or a few words that belong to you. Add two to twelve names or words, separated by commas. The chart keeps them in the order you type.
  • Three charts, two cases, your colours. Choose the eye-test ladder, a framed chart, or whole-name rows. Change the lettering, colours and paper while keeping your own words.

Questions

What order should the names go in?
The order you type is the reading order. Eye test flows the letters from left to right, top to bottom. Name rows keeps each name together, with the first name largest.
What if a name is long?
Use up to sixteen characters per name or word, and up to twelve entries. Eye test flows them across rows; Name rows reduces the type to keep each name on one line.
Can I change it later?
Yes. Keep the link to your design and open it again — a new baby, a new dog — and order another. Nothing is drawn by hand. The share link carries the whole design, so it keeps working; an unfinished design saved at the basket is kept for 90 days, and a bought print's approved artwork is kept for reorders.
