Baby Heartbeat Soundwave Print

A baby's heartbeat recording can hold a moment you want to remember. A soundwave print makes a picture from the recording, with space for words alongside it. You can keep the print for yourself or give it to someone close to you.

The recording as a picture

The Personalised voice soundwave print draws the shape of a recording on your device. The audio is never uploaded to us. The wave itself is a picture of the sound. It does not contain the recording.

Choose a recording you already have and want to keep. Listen to it first, if you can, so you know which file you are using. Keep the original unchanged and save a separate local copy. If the recording came from a provider, you can ask for the original file if it is available.

Keep the recording itself somewhere you can find it again. The print is not a replacement for the audio. You may want to name the file with a date or another detail that helps you recognise it later. Store the original separately from any copy you use while making the artwork.

The recording input accepts audio and phone video files, including M4A, MP3, WAV, MP4 and MOV. Select the saved file from your device. If the recording is still in a message, save the original attachment first so you can find it when choosing the file.

Choosing the words

A name and a date may be enough. You could add a short line about the moment, or leave more space around the wave. If you are using a date, check it against your own records rather than relying on memory. Take the same care with the spelling of a name.

The product page lets you choose the wave style, colours and paper. Try the arrangement with the words you have chosen, then read the artwork slowly before ordering. You can keep the wording simple. It does not need to explain the whole story behind the recording.

Where the print will go

The soundwave print comes as a poster or with a white, black or wood frame. There are three sizes: 30 x 45, 40 x 60 and 60 x 90 cm. Think about the space where it might hang before choosing. A smaller print may suit a shelf or a quiet corner; a larger one needs more room.

If you are making it for your own home, choose the colours you want to live with. You can take your time with the preview. Look at the wave and the words together, and check the details once more before you finish.

Giving it to someone

If the recording belongs to someone else as well, ask before using it. They may have a preferred file, date or wording. You can also ask where they would like to keep a print, so the size and frame fit their space.

A short note can say why you chose the recording. There is no need to write a long explanation. You might include the date and a few words about what that moment means to you both.

Other ways to mark the moment

The Personalised baby birth details print sets out details such as a name, date, time and place. The Sky, Exactly As It Stood uses a place, date and time to show the sky at that moment. Either can stand on its own or be considered alongside a soundwave.

For a recording of a voice, the voice message gift page has more guidance. Whatever you choose, keep the original recording safe and check the details on the artwork.
